A shower of medals for the Dal Bianco family. Decanter Asia awards a gold medal and 95 points to Masottina's Contrada Granda. Great results also from Mundus Vini and the International Wine & Spirit Competition. Federico Dal Bianco: "The excellence of such a wine region and its traditions goes beyond the work of our family company. Masottina's pursuit of the highest quality continues”.

A golden September for Masottina, as attested by the many prestigious awards received in the past month, a recognition of the wine-making excellence that, through the work of three generations, has been able to channel the traditions of an important wine territory such as Conegliano and transform it into an international success. Masottina's international vocation has succeeded in establishing an important foothold inside strategic markets such as English speaking countries, Germany and Southeast Asia, countries from which the latest roundup of prizes has just arrived.

Establishing itself once again as a firm favourite among wine critics worldwide, the 2017 vintage of Contrada Granda Brut, which in the past has received gold medals form Gilbert & Gaillard and Veronelli, has again won a medal in the Decanter Asia World Wine Awards. As for Masottina's other competing labels, Prosecco Superiore was awarded a 95 point score, and a further 90 points were given to Treviso Doc Extra Dry along with a silver medal, without forgetting the bronze medals received by Le Rive di Ogliano Extra Dry 2017, Prosecco Brut Organic Doc, Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene Docg Brut and Extra Dry, evaluated with 88, 88, 89 and 88 points respectively.

The German-speaking wine world too has shown its appreciation for this fine example of Italian enology, the product of an art which has transformed Italian sparkling wines into an international success. The critics of Mundus Vini 2018 have awarded Le Rive di Ogliano Extra Dry 2017 with a gold medal, while Prosecco Treviso Doc Brut won the silver medal. Excellent results also for Contrada Granda 2017, Prosecco Treviso DOC Extra Dry and Masottina's Organic Doc Prosecco Brut, which all received a score of 86 points.

An international appeal that is confirmed also by English-speaking wine experts such as the judges of the International Wine & Spirit Competition, who have rewarded with silver medals Le Rive by Ogliano Extra Dry 2017, Contrada Granda 2017, Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry and Costabella DOCG Bio, while Prosecco Treviso Doc Brut received a bronze.

"It is undeniable – says Federico Dal Bianco, Masottina's Marketing & Sales Manager - that  receiving such important recognition from wine critics is a source of pride. Aside from our own joy and satisfaction, however, we see it as an important sign of our wines' ability, and the ability of a wine region such as Conegliano Valdobbiadene, to remain at the top of international enology, and convince more and more wine-lovers with their character and complexity, both in expanding markets such as Asia and in established markets such as English and German speaking countries".
