Sip Some Prosecco with Masottina. The Dal Bianco family company is the first winery from the historic Conegliano Valdobbiadene area to star in Sip Some Prosecco, the Wine Channel TV programme with Jessica Altieri.
Masottina was chosen by Wine Channel TV to star in the first instalment of SIP SOME PROSECCO to be set in Italy. The American broadcaster boasts a viewership of over 15 million people. The whole episode was dedicated to Conegliano Valdobbiadene, which was named European Wine City 2016, and Venice, a cradle of art, culture and gastronomy in the Veneto.
“Prosecco Superiore DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene is a product of superior quality,” explains Federico Dal Bianco. “Its growing popularity is driving Italian exports, with the product deservedly becoming one of the symbols of the Italian lifestyle. We believe that it is the unique nature of our Prosecco that has led to such enormous success in the United States.
“To try Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene is to try an authentic Italian sparkling wine, an elegant wine that encapsulates the very essence of its terroir. Air coming down from the Alps and across from the sea at Venice come together to create a truly unique wine-producing region that has conquered the world.”
Jessica Altieri, America’s Social Wine Ambassador and the presenter of Wine Channel TV, visits one of the most famous wine-producing regions in Italy in the company of Federico Dal Bianco, the marketing and communications director of the family-run company, founded in 1946. Altieri gets a first-hand taste of the unique terroir which produces Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene, the most popular wine in the United States.
The episode also sees Altieri try some of Masottina’s finest wines on the terraces of the Hotel Saturnia in Venice, following a charming motorboat ride around the canals of the floating city.
