R.D.O. Multivintage Brut is the debut of Masottina’s new Heritage Collection, a project that celebrates 80 years of expertise and preserves the living legacy of the Dal Bianco family, begun in 1946.

 

R.D.O. Multivintage Brut: time as a raw material

With R.D.O. Multivintage Brut, Masottina introduces a precision winemaking project that transcends the traditional concept of a single vintage.

This multivintage sparkling wine is crafted from a blend of five harvests — 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 — sourced from the finest estate vineyards. Each harvest is handpicked, guided by careful selection that starts in the vineyard and continues in the cellar, respecting the natural balance of the grapes.

Vinification is carried out by individual vintage, with whole clusters and using gravity. After gentle pressing, the free-run juice ferments under controlled temperature; the base wine matures on its lees, developing structure and depth.

Each vintage is refined separately in autoclave — up to 60 months for the most evolved — preserving its own character. The final assemblage reflects the winemaking sensitivity honed over time by the Dal Bianco family: a labor of balance and harmony that results in an elegant, complex, and layered Brut sparkling wine.

The outcome is a Brut that combines depth and tension, aromatic finesse and harmony. A carefully constructed equilibrium, designed to move and captivate.
