“Only those who truly know their identity can turn time into value and vision into the future.”
Dal Bianco Family

In 2026, Masottina celebrates 80 years of history – an anniversary that represents far more than a simple milestone. It is the story of a journey shaped by coherent choices, vision, respect for the land, and a family that, harvest after harvest, has transformed time into value.

From 1946 to today, Masottina’s story unfolds through seven key milestones. A path that spans time and generations, which we wish to share to recount a journey made of choices, visions, and people. A narrative that weaves together past, present, and future, giving voice to a living heritage – one that continues to evolve and renew itself while remaining deeply rooted in its origins.

Timeline of Masottina’s 80 years: key milestones in the company’s history and identity

1946 – Masottina is born: a story of family, vision, and terroir

Our story begins in 1946, when Epifanio Dal Bianco, guided by intuition and vision, purchased the first five hectares of land at the Ai Palazzi estate in Gorgo al Monticano. It was a time of reconstruction, courageous decisions, and a future yet to be imagined.

During the restoration of the manor house, an ancient inscription resurfaced from the stone: Masottina. A sign that seemed to emerge from the past to point the way forward. From that moment on, the name became both identity and promise.

Thus began an enological project founded on family, respect for the land, and a vision destined to endure. Masottina’s identity took shape through the steady acquisition of vineyards and the consolidation of the estate in the decades following its founding.

1992 – The choice of Ogliano: vision and foresight of the Dal Bianco Family

In 1992, the Dal Bianco family acquired their first hectares on the hills of Ogliano, anticipating the times and recognizing the extraordinary value of this terroir – today among the most distinctive of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. Here, a viticulture of precision takes shape, guided by listening to the land and by a vision oriented toward the future. Every row planted, every decision made, reflects the desire to create something lasting, in harmony with the territory – turning vision into reality.

2009 – The Rive di Ogliano: the soul of Masottina

With the birth of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG denomination in 2009 and the introduction of the “Rive” designation, Ogliano emerged as a conscious and defining choice.
The Rive di Ogliano thus became the most authentic expression of Masottina: elegant, structured, and harmonious wines, capable of telling the story of a unique terroir through balance and depth.

2012 – Terre di Ogliano: research shaped by the terroir

In 2012 came the first vinification at Terre di Ogliano, the winery envisioned by Adriano Dal Bianco and the second generation. A place where architecture and technology serve a clear principle: “The wine leads the way.”
Gravity flow, respect for the grapes, and continuous research become the tools to express the deepest identity of the terroir.

The terroir is no longer just land to be explored, but a constant guide – one that shapes decisions, inspires creativity, and teaches that elegance is born from harmony between humankind and nature.

2021 – The Value of Time: longevity, patience, and international recognition

In 2021, l’R.D.O. Levante 2019 entered Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines, becoming the first Rive ever to achieve this distinction. An international recognition that tells the story of what Masottina has always believed: to achieve balance, finesse, and depth, time is essential.

From this awareness comes Il Valore del Tempo (The Value of Time), a project dedicated to the longevity of the Rive di Ogliano and their evolution in bottle.

Time, balance, and harmony thus take center stage, showing that every harvest is the result of patience and care.

That same year, Masottina celebrated its 75th anniversary by renewing its brand image – an evolution capable of embracing past and present in an identity that remains true to itself, never betraying its essence.

2026 – 80 years of Masottina: a legacy looking to the future

Today, eighty years after that first gesture in 1946, the story continues. Masottina celebrates this anniversary not as a point of arrival, but as a new beginning, ready to write a chapter that looks to the future.

From its founding in 1946 to the Rive of Ogliano, from the first vineyards to the constant pursuit of excellence, Masottina has transformed time into value and vision into the future. Every choice, every harvest, every gesture tells the story of the land and the passion of the generations that came before, opening the way to what lies ahead.

80 years of time preserved. A vision that continues.
